Give a sound tiled roof a proper refresh
A tired-looking tiled roof does not always need to be replaced. If the roof is still sound, a proper restoration can deal with broken tiles, ageing ridge work and a weathered finish in one planned job.
Roof restoration is most useful when the roof still has good life left in it but needs more than a one-off repair. We look at the tiles, bedding and pointing, valleys, flashing and overall condition before recommending a restoration.
What a roof restoration can include
- Inspect the tiled roof and identify problem areas
- Replace broken or badly worn tiles
- Clean and prepare the roof surface
- Repair bedding and flexible pointing where needed
- Apply a suitable roof coating when appropriate
Preparation makes the difference
We do not treat roof painting as a shortcut. If tiles, ridge capping or flashing need attention, those items should be dealt with first so the finished roof is not simply hiding old faults.
Every roof is different, so the scope depends on what we find. Some roofs need local repairs and cleaning; others need more extensive ridge work before they are ready for a finish coat.
Restoration or replacement?
If the roof is weathered but generally sound, restoration can be good value. If there is widespread failure, repeated leaks or major deterioration, we will tell you when replacement is the more sensible option.
Where we work
Roof restoration is available across Sydney, including Western Sydney, the Hills, North Shore, Northern Beaches and Sutherland Shire.
Roof Restoration FAQs
Is roof restoration the same as roof painting?
No. Painting or coating can be one stage of a restoration, but a proper restoration may also include repairs, cleaning, bedding and pointing.
When is replacement better than restoration?
If the roof covering or structure is too deteriorated, repeatedly leaking or no longer economical to repair, replacement can provide better long-term value.
Can you restore tiled roofs?
Yes. Tiled roof restoration is a common service across Sydney.
